Dry Injection Scrubber Completed Products

Encertec developed the dry lime fabric filter system to satisfy the needs of customers whose exhaust gases contain amounts of fluorine, chlorine, sulfur, and/or particulate matter that exceed the legal standards of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Encertec's dry injection fabric filter system, also referred to as a DIFF, has several unique design features allowing for a more efficient reagent(s) usage. Our systems utilize a two phase reaction process:

  • Phase 1 - Reagent(s) are injected into Encertec's patented Reactor. The reactor assists in evenly blending the reagent throughout flue gas airstream.
  • Phase 2 - The exhaust gases pass through the bag house, which serves as a dust collection system, where the reactions are completed. Using a heavy cake of reagent on the bags allows our systems to be low in reagent usage. This secondary reaction phase also ensures a successful cleaning process

Several of our systems are installed with multiple injection points where different reagents are introduced into the flue gas. Encertec also has systems installed with CEM's as control devices. These CEM's are used where levels of acidic gases vary greatly due to changes in the operations. By using the CEM's to monitor and determine the reagent feed rates, Encertec has been able to directly reduce its customers overall reagent usage. These reduced savings in reagent result in direct savings operating and disposal cost(s).


Benefits of Scrubber/Fabric Filter Systems

Encertec has currently installed eight dry injection scrubber/fabric filter systems throughout the United States. Each of these systems is currently operating and has successfully passed EPA standards for reducing the levels of emissions. In addition to the success of these systems, they also come with many of the same benefits of the adsorber system.
